Nothing Can Separate You from God’s Love

God loves and accepts you just the way you are. He has a plan for you and He’s got you in the palm of His hand. You don’t have to be perfect or never make mistakes to be loved and accepted by Jesus. His love is unconditional and there isn’t anything you have to do, or be, to receive His love – He gives it freely to each one of us. You’ve never made too many mistakes, and your life is never too messy for God. He is our Creator and our Heavenly Father and, because He loves us so much, He forgives the mistakes we make and takes away any shame or guilt we carry. In His love, we will all find acceptance, healing, peace and joy.

Romans 8:38-39 “For I am convinced that neither death nor life, nor angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

You Can’t Earn God’s Love

From a young age, we are taught that we have to earn the approval of other people through behaving a certain way or achieving certain things, but God doesn’t expect this from us. God doesn’t give the way the world gives and His ways are not our ways. All God wants us to do is to accept Him as Lord and Saviour and to simply accept His perfect love for us.

God is love. He wants us to receive His perfect love, to make us whole, and then for us to let His love flow through us to other people that need it. You can’t give away what you don’t have. That’s why you have to fully embrace and receive the unconditional love of God – fully knowing that He loved you even at your lowest low. He loved you even when you turned your back on Him, when you made the biggest mistakes of your life. He sent Heaven’s Best to die on the cross for you, to save you, because of His great love. There is nothing you can do, and nowhere you can go, that will separate you from His love.

Romans 5:8 “But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

What Happens When You Accept God’s Love?

When you openly accept and receive God’s love into your heart and soul, over time, little by little, He will start to heal all the broken places of you and make you whole in Him. The hollow, empty space you’ve felt your whole life will finally fill up and you’ll finally feel complete. This is what happened to me when I gave my life to the Lord and started receiving His love. All the pain and trauma from my past, that had left me broken and empty, was healed and restored through God’s love. We were made for God, in His image and only He can set us free. Only He can fill the space in our souls that’s always felt empty.

As we begin to heal through the love of God, we can learn to love ourselves and forgive ourselves for the things we’ve done in the past. God forgives our sins when we ask Him for forgiveness, so we should give ourselves the same gift of forgiveness, too. Let go of the mistakes and failures of your past. You can’t bring them into the future God has for you.

Let Go of Your Mistakes

Replace the negative thoughts and feelings the enemy places in your mind with God’s truth in His word. You don’t have to feel guilty, condemned or ashamed, because Jesus has set you free from these things! Every time you need a reminder, speak this out loud: “God loves me. He has forgiven me and I don’t have to hold onto the mistakes and failures of my past. God has good plans for me because He is so good and He wants to share His love with me and the people in my life!” Say this over and over until it truly settles in your spirit – until you know that you know that you know, God loves you!

Seek God and His love every opportunity you can. Study scriptures about His love and meditate on them, so they can settle in your heart. Spend time alone with the Lord, sitting in His presence and openly receiving His love.

Victory Mindset in Christ

When we fully embrace and accept that God loves us no matter what, no matter how messy our life is, it changes how we see ourselves. We start to see ourselves the way God sees us – as victorious instead of victims of life, because through Him, we have victory over every scheme of the enemy! We know that we can trust God with everything, because He is such a good Father to us. He will keep us safe, protected and secure in His love for us. God’s love fills your heart to overflowing that what you want in life starts to change – you have a new heart that wants to serve God because of His goodness, because His love has restored the damaged pieces in you.

Feeling safe, protected, loved and fully accepted takes us out of survival mode and we feel safe enough to start softening our hearts to the people in our lives. This allows God’s love to flow through us into others. You can’t give away what you don’t have, but when God’s love has filled you up, it will overflow from you into other people as your heart becomes more like the heart of Jesus. Before I felt God’s love, I was a very hard-hearted person. I was critical and judgemental of myself and those around me. I didn’t like affection and I felt very uncomfortable expressing my love. All that changed as God healed me through His love, He made me new and softened my heart and now, I have a heart for others and want to spread the love of our Lord with everyone I meet. I believe God will do this for you too, if you open yourself up to His love.

I pray that if you are feeling unworthy, unloved and unwanted, this post will help you see that God will never leave you nor forsake you and that you can trust in His love. You can fall into His arms and He will catch you, heal you and love you, you just have to let Him.
